
Isotonic Energy Pancakes
Delicious and energizing pancakes made with slightly expired isotonic energy drink powder.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup expired isotonic energy drink powder
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, expired isotonic energy drink powder, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.
Heat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with cooking spray or butter.
Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake.
Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve the pancakes warm with your favorite toppings, such as fresh fruit or maple syrup.
