
Green Tea Extract Capsule Cookies
Delicious and chewy cookies made with slightly expired green tea extract capsules, reducing food waste while ensuring food safety.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 green tea extract capsules, slightly past expiration
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and mix until well combined.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, and mix until a dough forms.
Crush the green tea extract capsules and fold them into the dough.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto a greased baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
