
Chicken Tender Stir-Fry
A flavorful stir-fry recipe that transforms expired frozen chicken tenders into a delicious meal by properly cooking them and combining them with colorful vegetables.
Ingredients
- 6 expired frozen chicken tenders, thawed
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small zucchini, sliced
- 1 small carrot, julienned
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
Instructions
Slice the thawed expired frozen chicken tenders into bite-sized pieces.
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water to make the sauce.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken tenders to the pan and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes or until they are cooked through.
Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add the sliced bell peppers, zucchini, carrot, and minced garlic.
Stir-fry the vegetables for 3-4 minutes or until they are crisp-tender.
Return the cooked chicken to the pan and pour the sauce over the ingredients.
Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes or until the sauce has thickened and coated the chicken and vegetables.
Serve the stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles.
