
Croissant Bread Pudding
A delicious and comforting bread pudding made using expired croissants, reducing food waste while ensuring food safety.
Ingredients
- 4 stale croissants
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cut the stale croissants into small pieces.
In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture while whisking continuously.
Add the croissant pieces and raisins (if using) to the mixture and gently toss until well combined.
Grease a baking dish and pour the croissant mixture into it.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the pudding is set and golden brown on top.
Allow the pudding to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serve warm and enjoy!
