- 2 slices of expired butter cake
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Maple syrup and fresh berries for serving
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Place the expired butter cake slices in the egg mixture, allowing them to soak for a minute on each side.
- In a non-stick skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add the soaked butter cake slices to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Serve the French toast with maple syrup and fresh berries.
