
Bel Paese Cheese Croquettes
Delicious fried croquettes made with slightly expired Bel Paese Cheese.
Ingredients
- 250g slightly expired Bel Paese Cheese
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
In a bowl, grate the Bel Paese Cheese.
In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs.
In another bowl, mix the bread crumbs, flour, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Take a small portion of grated Bel Paese Cheese and shape it into a small ball.
Dip the cheese ball into the beaten eggs, then roll it in the bread crumb mixture until fully coated.
Repeat the previous two steps until all the cheese is used.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium heat.
Fry the cheese croquettes in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove the croquettes from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve the Bel Paese Cheese croquettes hot as an appetizer or snack.
