Paneer Tikka Skewers
A safe and flavorful way to use expired paneer, ensuring food safety through proper marination and grilling.
Ingredients
- 200g expired paneer, cut into cubes
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons gram flour (besan)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 onion, cut into chunks
- 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
- Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
Instructions
In a bowl, mix yogurt, gram flour, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, garam masala, and salt to make a marinade.
Add the expired paneer cubes to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (or overnight for better flavor).
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
Thread the marinated paneer cubes, onion chunks, and bell pepper chunks onto the soaked wooden skewers.
Brush the skewers with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer is heated thoroughly and has grill marks.
Serve hot as an appetizer or with naan and mint chutney.
