
Pan-Seared Fish with Lemon Butter Sauce
A simple and delicious recipe that uses expired frozen fish fillets to create a flavorful dish. Ensure the fish is properly cooked to maintain food safety.
Ingredients
- 2 expired frozen fish fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
Thaw the frozen fish fillets in the refrigerator overnight or according to package instructions.
Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the fish fillets in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
Remove the fish fillets from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in the lemon juice and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Pour the lemon butter sauce over the cooked fish fillets.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
