Ingredients
- 2 cups apricot nectar (unopened)
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a saucepan, heat the apricot nectar and milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt.
Slowly pour the hot apricot nectar mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
Pour the custard mixture into ramekins or a baking dish.
Sprinkle the top with ground nutmeg.
Place the ramekins or baking dish in a larger baking pan and fill the larger pan with hot water to create a water bath.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the custard is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
Remove from the oven and let cool.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Serve chilled and enjoy!
