
String Cheese Quesadillas
Cheesy and crispy quesadillas made with unopened string cheese
Ingredients
- 4 unopened string cheese sticks
- 4 tortillas
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1/2 bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
Preheat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
Place a tortilla on the pan and sprinkle half of the diced tomato, onion, bell pepper, lettuce, and cilantro over one half of the tortilla.
Place 1 unopened string cheese stick on top of the vegetables.
Fold the tortilla in half, covering the cheese and vegetables.
Press down gently with a spatula and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the tortilla is golden brown.
Carefully flip the quesadilla and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is crispy.
Remove from heat and repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.
Cut each quesadilla into wedges and serve hot with sour cream.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
