
Beaufort Cheese and Vegetable Gratin
A hearty and comforting vegetable gratin made with Beaufort Cheese Opened.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Beaufort Cheese Opened
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (e.g. broccoli, cauliflower, carrots)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Steam the mixed vegetables until slightly tender.
3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the breadcrumbs and cook until golden brown. Set aside.
4. In a separate saucepan, heat the heavy cream over low heat. Add the Beaufort Cheese Opened and stir until melted and smooth.
5. Season the cheese mixture with dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
6. In a baking dish, arrange the steamed vegetables. Pour the cheese mixture over the vegetables.
7. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the gratin is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
9. Serve hot as a main dish or a side dish.
