Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup candied apricots, slightly expired
- 1/4 cup apricot jam
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a food processor, combine the flour, butter, sugar, and salt. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan.

Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.

In a small saucepan, heat the apricot jam and lemon juice over low heat until melted and well combined.

Spread the melted jam mixture over the crust.

Arrange the candied apricots on top of the jam.

Sprinkle the sliced almonds over the apricots.

Bake the tart for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
