Brioche French Toast
A delicious and safe way to use expired brioche for a decadent breakfast or brunch. Ensure the brioche is still fresh-smelling and mold-free before using.
Ingredients
- 4 slices of expired brioche
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- Butter or oil for cooking
- Maple syrup and fresh berries for serving
Instructions
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or oil to coat the surface.
Dip each slice of expired brioche into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides evenly. Allow excess mixture to drip off.
Place the soaked brioche slices onto the heated skillet or griddle and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Transfer the French toast to a serving plate and repeat the process with the remaining slices.
Serve the brioche French toast warm with maple syrup and fresh berries.
Enjoy!
