Ingredients

  • 4 cups of cubed expired brioche
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup raisins or other dried fruits (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

Add the cubed expired brioche to the bowl and gently stir until all the bread is coated with the milk mixture. Let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the bread to soak up the liquid.

If desired, stir in raisins or other dried fruits and chopped nuts.

Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the bread pudding is set and golden brown on top.

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

Serve warm or at room temperature as is, or with a scoop of ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
