Ingredients

  • 1 block of tofu
  • 2 tablespoons of expired hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil

Instructions

Press the tofu to remove excess moisture.

Cut the tofu into cubes and set aside.

In a small bowl, whisk together the expired hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, minced garlic, and grated ginger to make the glaze.

Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add the tofu cubes to the pan and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

Pour the hoisin glaze over the tofu cubes and stir to coat evenly.

Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes, until the glaze thickens and coats the tofu.
