Expired Tea Marinated Chicken
Tender and flavorful chicken marinated with expired tea bags, making use of otherwise wasted ingredients.
Ingredients
- 4 expired tea bags
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
In a small bowl, steep the expired tea bags in 1 cup of hot water for 5 minutes. Discard the tea bags.
In a large ziplock bag, combine the tea-infused water, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
Add the chicken breasts to the bag and seal it, ensuring the marinade coats the chicken evenly.
Place the bag in the refrigerator and let the chicken marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
Grill the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side or until cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
