Ingredients
- 4 slices of stale bread
- 1 cup of slightly expired skim milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, whisk together the slightly expired skim milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Dip each slice of stale bread into the milk mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
- In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Cook each slice of bread for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the cooked French toast slices.
