Ingredients

  • 2 cups slightly expired American Cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens.

Remove from heat and let cool completely.

Transfer the chutney to a sterilized jar and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Serve as a condiment with roasted meats, cheese platters, or spread on toast.
