Ingredients
- 1 lb Abruzzese Sausage, slightly past expiration
- 8 oz pasta
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, add the diced onion and garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent.

4. Add the diced tomatoes to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes.

5. Slice the cooked sausage into bite-sized pieces and add it back to the skillet.

6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine.

7. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
