Safe Thawing Methods

✅ Best: In Refrigerator

Place frozen item in fridge. Allow 24 hours per 5 lbs. Safest method.

⚡ Quick: Cold Water

Place in leak-proof bag, submerge in cold water. Change water every 30 minutes. Takes 1-3 hours.

🔥 Fast: Microwave

Use defrost setting. Cook immediately after thawing. Quality may suffer.

❌ NEVER: Room Temperature

Never thaw at room temperature. Bacteria multiply rapidly in the danger zone (40-140°F).
